These are the steps outlined in the video:
First, create a text version of your resume by following the instructions below.
- Go to the Resume Genius homepage and click “Build My Resume Now”
- Press the “Build a New Resume” button
- Choose your experience and highest education level
- Pick any template (you’ll be able to change this later)
- Fill in each resume section
- Hit “Download” and choose “Text”
Now you have a plain text version of your resume. Use it with our free-to-download resume templates to create a polished-looking resume by completing a few more simple steps.
- Return to the Resume Genius homepage
- Click “Resumes” in the navigation bar at the top of the page and select “FREE RESUME TEMPLATES”
- Scroll down to view our free templates
- Pick your favorite and click “View Template”
- Download it as a Word or Google Docs file
- Copy and paste the information from the text file into your template of choice
- Save your resume
