Dear [Mr./Ms./Mx.] [Hiring Manager’s Name],
I’m excited to apply for a commercial model position with Teno Watches, which I discovered on Indeed.com. I began modeling when I was 14 years old in Oslo, Norway, and since then I’ve completed 90+ photo shoots and runway shows in North America, Europe, and Asia. With my international modeling experiences, and a friendly approach to meeting new teams and embracing their artistic concepts, I believe I’ll be a great model for Teno Watches.
During my time with Idol Looks Modeling Agency in Oslo, I completed 3 photo shoots and 1 TV commercial with the German watch brand Montblanc. I’m fluent in English and Norwegian, and I can also speak conversational German. It was an enriching experience communicating in German with the director, photographers, and styling team and adapting my poses while simultaneously following directions. I hope to bring my flexibility and positive attitude to Teno Watches.
Since 2008, I’ve worked with brands like Calvin Klein and Givenchy for runway shows and have also appeared in 60+ web and magazine advertisements with Teen Vogue, InStyle, and Vogue. Besides these modeling gigs, I’m also skilled at using social media platforms such as Instagram and TikTok. Currently, I have 75,000+ followers on both platforms. I believe my abilities to not only know how to present myself well for the camera but also understand what customers are looking for are another reason why I’m a good fit for your role.
I look forward to meeting you for an interview at your convenience. You can reach me at (989) 143-7676 or ollie.brenos@gmail.com. Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
Ollie Brenos

How to write a model cover letter
Updating your cover letter for modeling agencies? Check out these three tips for help writing your cover letter.
1. Write an effective cover letter introduction
Employers only spend a few seconds scanning each application, so writing a memorable cover letter is essential.
First, address your cover letter directly to the hiring manager by name. You can find their name by calling the company or doing a Google search. Use the company’s name in your cover letter introduction to show you’ve tailored your cover letter to the modeling role.
Employers appreciate clarity, so start your cover letter clearly by mentioning which modeling position you’re applying for and how you heard about the company.
Follow up by introducing your most relevant modeling experiences. This experience can include your years of modeling experience, the modeling agencies you’ve worked for, and the key skills the job posting mentions.
End your introductory paragraph by connecting your work history to your desired position. Linking your modeling experiences to the job posting in a relatable way demonstrates a deep understanding of the position and shows you’re an adaptable model. Have a look at our model cover letter introduction:

2. Personalize your work experiences in your body paragraphs
Cover letters typically have 1–2 body paragraphs that describe your experience in more detail than your modeling resume.
Throughout these paragraphs, mention your specific experiences or key achievements, and expand on them with clear examples. Employers use applicant tracking systems (ATS) to filter applications, so include modeling job-related keywords from their job descriptions in your cover letter.
Body paragraphs are a great place to tell a work-related story. In our sample’s first body paragraph, the applicant mentions being able to speak fluent English and Norwegian as well as conversational German. Then they describe working with a German watch company and using German to communicate:
During my time with Idol Looks Modeling Agency in Oslo, I completed 3 photo shoots and 1 TV commercial with the German watch brand Montblanc. I’m fluent in English and Norwegian, and I can also speak conversational German. It was an enriching experience communicating in German with the director, photographers, and styling team and adapting my poses while simultaneously following directions.
Next, the second body paragraph highlights the applicant’s social media expertise by using hard numbers to show the number of followers they have. You should make sure you explain why such skills are important in your cover letter, as this candidate does:
Besides these modeling gigs, I’m also skilled at using social media platforms such as Instagram and TikTok. Currently, I have 75,000+ followers on both platforms. I believe my abilities to not only know how to present myself well for the camera but also understand what customers are looking for are another reason why I’m a good fit for your role.
3. Show your confidence by ending with a powerful CTA
Impress modeling agencies by ending your cover letter in a professional and assertive way.
Always include a call to action (CTA) at the end of your letter. A CTA politely asks the hiring manager to contact you and includes your email and phone number. Ensure your contact information is the same as the details listed in your resume header (and your cover letter’s).
End your cover letter by thanking the hiring manager for their time and signing off professionally. For example:
I look forward to meeting you for an interview at your convenience. You can reach me at (989) 143-7676 or ollie.brenos@gmail.com. Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
Ollie Brenos
