Ultrasound technicians, also known as diagnostic medical sonographers, use diagnostic imaging to produce images of patients’ internal organs, vessels, and tissues. These professionals use the images they capture to guide procedures or diagnose patients’ medical conditions.

Ultrasound techs typically work in hospital settings but may also work in outpatient care centers, imaging clinics, or doctor’s offices.
