The contents of a curriculum vitae are:
1. Contact information
2. Curriculum vitae objective
3. Work experience
4. Education history
5. Skills and expertise
Additional sections can be included but aren’t required. For example, if you’re writing an academic CV, include sections for your publications and dissertations, conferences, awards, certifications, grants, research, and professional affiliations.
There are international differences in the usage of the term “CV.” In North America, CVs and resumes differ in scope and length. CVs are used specifically for applying to graduate programs and roles in academia. In Europe and the UK, the term “CV” is used to refer to both resumes and academic CVs.
